Serving Discovery Bay
Discovery Bay is about 17 miles southeast via SR 160 and SR 4 from our Antioch shop, and we serve all of it, including Discovery Bay Country Club, Ravenswood and Discovery Bay Marina. Discovery Bay is unincorporated, so replacement permits go through Contra Costa County Building Inspection, not the Town of Discovery Bay CSD, and we place new outdoor units with the water and docks in mind. Many statewide heat pump rebates are closed for 2026, so when we quote we check what's still open for your address, such as MCE's home energy programs for Discovery Bay customers and BayREN's income-qualified EASE Home program.

Questions before you call
Do I need a permit to replace my AC in Discovery Bay?
Yes. Replacing an AC, furnace or heat pump in California requires a mechanical permit - in Discovery Bay that comes from the Contra Costa County Dept. of Conservation & Development, Building Inspection. The Town of Discovery Bay CSD runs water, sewer and recreation but has no land-use authority. Most replacements also need Title 24 duct leakage testing verified by a third-party HERS rater. We pull the permit and coordinate the inspection.
How much does a new AC cost in Discovery Bay?
It depends on the size of the home, the type of system, the efficiency level and the condition of your ductwork. We give you a written quote after looking at the house, with more than one option.
Are there rebates for a new system in Discovery Bay?
Some, but fewer than before. TECH Clean California and California's HEEHRA heat pump rebates are fully reserved, and the federal 25C tax credit ended for systems installed after 2025. What's left for Discovery Bay homes is mainly MCE's home energy programs for Discovery Bay customers and BayREN's income-qualified EASE Home program. Programs change often, so we check what's open for your address when we quote.
