Serving Lafayette
We serve every part of Lafayette, including Burton Valley, Happy Valley, Reliez Valley and Downtown Lafayette - it's about 29 miles southwest via SR-4, I-680 and SR-24 from our Antioch shop. Lafayette contracts building plan check and inspection to Contra Costa County, so a replacement starts with a city zoning check and then moves through the County's ePermits system. A heat pump makes the most sense in Lafayette when an aging AC and furnace are both due, since one system replaces both. Many statewide heat pump rebates are closed for 2026, so when we quote we check what's still open for your address, such as MCE's home energy programs for Lafayette customers and BayREN's income-qualified EASE Home program.

Questions before you call
Is a heat pump worth it in Lafayette?
Hot summers and mild winters suit heat pumps well. One system handles cooling and heating, and the Bay Area Air District's zero-NOx standard for new furnaces, scheduled for 2029, is pushing new installs toward heat pumps.
Will I need an electrical panel upgrade for a heat pump?
Sometimes. Many homes can add a heat pump on the existing panel; older 100-amp panels may need an upgrade. We check during the quote visit so there are no surprises.
Are there heat pump rebates in Lafayette?
Some, but fewer than before. TECH Clean California and California's HEEHRA heat pump rebates are fully reserved, and the federal 25C tax credit ended for systems installed after 2025. What's left for Lafayette homes is mainly MCE's home energy programs for Lafayette customers and BayREN's income-qualified EASE Home program. Programs change often, so we check what's open for your address when we quote.
