Serving East Contra Costa
Blue Star is based on Wilbur Avenue in Antioch, and East Contra Costa is our home turf, from Pittsburg and Bay Point to Oakley, Brentwood, Discovery Bay and the Delta towns. Replacements are permitted through the city building divisions in Antioch, Pittsburg, Oakley and Brentwood, or through Contra Costa County for the unincorporated towns, with Title 24 duct testing on most change-outs. A heat pump makes the most sense in East Contra Costa when an aging AC and furnace are both due, since one system replaces both. Many statewide heat pump rebates are closed for 2026, so when we quote we check what's still open for your address, such as PG&E and MCE programs (depending on your city) and BayREN's income-qualified EASE Home program.

Questions before you call
Is a heat pump worth it in East Contra Costa?
Hot summers and mild winters suit heat pumps well. One system handles cooling and heating, and the Bay Area Air District's zero-NOx standard for new furnaces, scheduled for 2029, is pushing new installs toward heat pumps.
Will I need an electrical panel upgrade for a heat pump?
Sometimes. Many homes can add a heat pump on the existing panel; older 100-amp panels may need an upgrade. We check during the quote visit so there are no surprises.
Are there heat pump rebates in East Contra Costa?
Some, but fewer than before. TECH Clean California and California's HEEHRA heat pump rebates are fully reserved, and the federal 25C tax credit ended for systems installed after 2025. What's left for East Contra Costa homes is mainly PG&E and MCE programs (depending on your city) and BayREN's income-qualified EASE Home program. Programs change often, so we check what's open for your address when we quote.
